This is my first time using LiveJournal.� Itapos;s pretty confusing, but�Iapos;ll get the hang of it sooner-or-later.


So�I guess Iapos;ll fill in on whatapos;s going on in my life:
Tomorrow Iapos;ll be heading back to school after the long MEA weekend.� How unfortunate.� But afterwards Iapos;m going to the mall to meet Metro Station, so thatapos;s pretty exciting :)� On Tuesday, itapos;s yet another day of school, but Iapos;m going to the Rock Band tour that night, so thatapos;s another exciting thing.� Not really doing anything else this week (I think)�except going to school.� Great.


Also, last Thursday I went to the Cobra Starship concert.� It was intense.� About 10 people fell down (including me) in a moshpit during Sing It Loud.� After I (barely) got up, I went to the back of the crowd with�my friend Amanda, and we chilled on a table.� It was more relaxing, and we were at eye-level with Cobra (ahem, Gabe Saporta).�:D� Afterwards,�Amanda and I�were standing by the FTSK tourbus, looking inside of it like creepers.� They noticed we were staring, so we started waving.� And they started dancing.� And we started dancing.� Until Amandaapos;s flailing hand hit me in the eye.� I have a black eye now, but I guess itapos;s ok.� It doesnapos;t hurt too much...

Pour commencer hier apr�s avoir dormi 5h, japos;ai donn� mon sang et oui je fais des BA de temps en temps Bref, ils ont accept� que je fasse le don vu que ma mononucl�ose napos;avait pas atteint le stade le plus critique... Mais il aurait mieux fait de refuser le m�decin.. Lapos;infirmi�re a fait claquer les veines des deux bras du monsieur avant moi donc japos;�tais encore moins rassur�e apr�s ca elle a enfonc� lapos;aiguille tr�s lentement ce qui fais que japos;ai eu m�ga mal et le garot �tait trop serr� donc constriction des veines et bien sur douleur au niveau de lapos;aiguille.. Douleur que plus de 24h apr�s je ressens encore
Repas et aprem chez Elsa dehors au soleil... Bien agr�able en octobre il faut le dire :) Apres quoi je suis parti pour feter un anniv bien fatigu�e et pas tres motiv�e il faut bien le dire La soiree sapos;est tr�s bien pass�e et le num�ro 1 etait visiblement heureux de lapos;etre tout un WE Meme si le num�ro 2 etait au match ce soir :)
Retour vers 2h30 mais couch�e � 4h autant dire que le reveil a �t� difficile et le travail pas tr�s fructueux aujourdapos;hui mais bon...

I watched Streetcar Named Desire the other day and I was thinking about how the thing about Brandoapos;s performance in that film is that you never know what heapos;s going to do next. Could be good, could be bad, but it will definitely be intense, and thatapos;s what keeps people glued to him: the sense that on the one hand heapos;s completely self-contained and self-assured, and on the other hand, he could explode at any moment. Then I thought, you know, Lythrilapos;s kind of like that. Everyone whoapos;s ever worked with her has that same sense: anything could happen at any moment and though you try to brace yourself, youapos;ll never see it coming.

Anyway. Weapos;re still working our way through the first season of Buffy; we just finished "The Pack" (season 1, episode 6). I note with some dismay that I am now starting to get into it. Ah well. Anyhow, they do a good job of making it just scary enough, and the episodes are better when, as with this one, they just telegraph the whole plot in the first minute or so and rely on the creepy/scary/character anguish stuff rather than mystery-type supsense. Cause there is no suspense. Once again I had the "twist" figured out before the first commercial break. Still, I was not expecting them to actually kill off Principal Flutie so early in the series; though I figure it is becoming a rule that as soon as one of the teachers or administrators is nice to Buffy or shows any sympathetic qualities, that person immediately becomes monster bait.

We tried out the "special features" and were disappointed; the little talking head clips of Joss Wheedon donapos;t really illuminate anything. But he did talk about how much he loves writing the characters and being alone with them, and I was thinking today about how heapos;s right. It is a lot of fun to write characters you know really well. Itapos;s like hanging out with old friends; they do something and you think, "Ah, how very characteristic." Which briefly gave me a vision of a tween show called Thatapos;s So Iolys, but fortunately it didnapos;t last.

Anyway, that is one thing I really miss about writing WOF, which I havenapos;t been doing now for some time: hanging out with the characters. I can get some of that from rereading the books, but itapos;s really not the same. Ah well. Maybe someday Iapos;ll have time to go back to it.

Adrian and James had a good time last night at the poker game. They both won some $. In the first game James took 2nd place and Adrian took 3rd. In the second game Adrian took second place. James had to go home this afternoon, but it was good to see him

Ethanapos;s classmate Abby had a birthday party today at another one of those inflatable playland places. The kids sure do wear themselves out pretty well there. This one also had a velcro-wall. The kids put on velcro suits and threw themselves on the well to stick. One of the workers was helping to toss the kids higher, so they got stuck on there pretty well. It was very funny.

We finally picked out a costume for Quentin. Heapos;ll be Goofy this Halloween. It was one of the few costumes made for his size at the Disney store and he didnapos;t seem to mind the hat that comes with it, so we were happy to just grab it and be done with it I think it will be very cute when heapos;s wearing the whole thing.

Izzy is still at the vet. Not getting worse, but not clearly getting better (though her temp did drop). The vet doesnapos;t know what to tell us to do, which is honestly frusterating, because then its left to us. And weapos;re not trained vets. Just people with hugely emotional attachment to our kitty.

So we told them weapos;d like another x-ray before we determine our course of action (or we could have authorized exploratory surgery, which of course, carries its own risk and alone could hurt her). Since sheapos;s not seemingly in pain now (not acting it, she plays, shes purrs. Absolutely not at the same level as usual, but I donapos;t know how much of that is stress, of being isolated both at home and now the vet).

So hard to know. I hope the x-ray later gives us a clearer course of action.

And this week sucks double because I woke up with a stomatch virus this morning. It was sudden and fast acting, and Iapos;m miserable. And the first half of the week was spent writing a miserable paper. Arg. Things have to get better.

I wish that MSNBC had shown the whole of both speeches. Watching them made me feel better about both men, but especially John McCain, who comes across more like the man I once thought he was when he spoke with humor and candor�at the Al�Smith dinner. There was far less bumbling in the way he spoke when he didnapos;t come across as a crochety old man. And who would have thought Obama could crack a joke?�Wouldnapos;t it be so much better if their political campaigns could be run this way?

Well things are much better now Although, I think im going to fail Spanish which sucks. Anyways I met this girl named Joe I think she is a lesbian and doesnapos;t even know it. She is a macanic and likes to wear boys clothes and used to look at chicks boobs because apos;she didnt have any" sounds pretty dykie to me. Lol but oh well I like her alot she is sort of like me in everyway and that was absolutely what I needed in life at the moment.

Hi I think its great that you are even thinking of starting the C25k in 9 weeks.� You CAN do it.� I thought that i would give it a go even though I had not run a step since primary school� Iapos;m not young so it was strange that I believed what the Robert Urllrey C25k podcast �told me was possible.� It is rather a daunting thought to be running at all let alone the total 5ks� However the way it is done is made so that even the very un fit can do it.� I thought that it was a refresher for past runners and didnapos;t have much hope for my even completing it but much to my delight i was coping with the increase of running times by the end of each week.� It is possible and you will only know if you give it a go.�

After the first week I realised that I needed some rock solid guidelines for me to make sure that I stuck to my new commitment and not just allow it to slide into something that would end up as a failure.� I picked 3 days a week with a day between and the weekend off to do it in. If I�didnapos;t do 3 days, then I had to repeat that week.� I really wanted to finish in 9 weeks and the very first week i slacked off so i made myself repeat it.� By the time i finished� the second week I was probably better prepared for wk2 but� I was certain that I didnapos;t want to repeat any week due to my not getting out the door.� If i miss a day for whatever reason I now make sure i do one over the weekend.

I stuck to week days Mon, wed, fri with occasional Sat or Sun . This way gives the body rest time between wks and your not dreading the new runs because of tiredness, only mental anguish� I think this is important if you want to actually make the 5 klms.� Rest may sound that it will take longer to get fitter but your body and mind are so ready, that�come the start of the next week, that after a 2 day break ,you are less likely to slack off and miss days.�

Anyway thatapos;s my thoughts and for the record I am now in wk7 after 8wks of following the podcast of Roberts and amazenly i am running 4klms Hurrah� (not very fast though, more of a shuffle)

Before you start definitely get good runners.� No point otherwise, else you will get leg or knee problems. And be prepared to give yourself a good talking to when you get up the weeks as your mind will want you to stop and give up.� You are doing something that is against your normal conditioning�so being aware that your thinking will have to change if you want your body to.� My mind kept telling me that I couldnapos;t do it but that was really a lie because as I persevered I proved myself wrong.

Never knew about the conservative programme but pleased i didnapos;t else i would have chosen that and would not be so far along.� 9 wks is long enough a goal to committ to and the results spur your on.
